Established in 1993, Cuyen
has its farm in the naturally fertile lands of the Patagonian
Andes. There it grows a wide variety
of berries and fine fruit by wholly organic means. Its
preserved fruits, jams and spreads are processed in
its own plant, and distributed throughout Argentina's
delicatessen and supermarket chains, as well as exported
to Brazil, the European Union, Japan and Taipei.
The freshness, taste, nutritional composition and good
looks
of Cuyen’s organically produced berries are hard
to match, and they have received numerous awards at
Argentina’s annual National Soft Fruit Exhibition.
It is with these first selection fruits, developed
in totally uncontaminated surroundings, that the dedicated
Cuyen team carries out its artisan production. Each
recipe is made in the traditional way, using open pans
where small batches are cooked slowly so the flavour
and colour of the fruits preserve their natural intensity.
Cuyen is a pioneer farm in organic production in Argentina.
The fruit plantation has been certified by Argencert
since 1996; the processing plant, since 1997. Argencert
is an IFOAM-accredited
certifier of organic production.
Ye shall know them
by their fruits!
“Ye shall know them by their fruits (…)
Every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt
tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring
forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth
good fruit. (…) Wherefore by their fruits ye sahll
know them.
